Surgeon is booked out for several months for elective procedures. If a patient requests an earlier elective surgery, and the surgeon is considering adding another O/R day to his normal schedule, or weekends. Can the surgeon charge a “preferred schedule” fee, similar to after-hour appointments for office visits?
