A patient came in to talk about the fact that she conceived while on a birth control patch. She is only about 5 wks pregnant according to LMP.

She had a +upt at a different office, so it was not repeated here. Just risks and precautions were discussed. She has an appointment soon to begin prenatal care, but I'm not sure how to code this visit.

Would I use a counseling code? The provider thought it would be v15.7, but I am not sure and would like other opinions.
