Hi,

I am looking for some opinions on this topic or if any is doing this in their practice. We came across a power point presentation that states you can bill a 99211 for a prescription refill to hold a pt over until the next appointment becaomes available. Is this true?

yes this is true, as long as it is not a full prescription, and the documentation must state why the patient as run out and the date for the next appointment.
