If a pt comes in for a well visit and is seen for a sick visit also, can we bill for well and sick visit?

Does the sick part of the visit need to have test performed to back up the sick visit?

Ex : 99392 - V20.2, 786.2

can this visit be considered well and sick

Ex: 99392 - V20.2, 786.2
71020 - 786.2

Read the guidelines under Preventive Medicine Services. Separate E/M visits can be coded with modifier -25 but must meet the requirements. You would report the diagnosis for the sick visit with the E/M -25 and only V20.2 with 99392.
