Most insurance co. are covering office visits when patient returns for lab results. Visit must be billed as preventive care. Does anyone no of any prventive care EM codes for an office visit?

Thanks!

They are in the CPT book under preventive care by age. You should not bill an office visit to give normal lab results. You can however bill regular visit levels if the visit to is modify a treatment plan due to the lab result or to discuss a new diagnosis with the patient revealed by the lab result.
