I have a patient who came in for a wellness visit. She has called and said her Insurance will not pay for two wellness vists in one day. She had scheduled one day off to get her yrly physical and then went to see ger GYN. Everone charged a wellness exam. One with a V70.0 and one with a V72.31. Only one is getting paid. Apparantly the one billed first. Should we be using a different code for this? What is the norm?
 
This is between the patient and her insurance, some insurances consider the well woman inclusive to the yearly preventive and other pay a well woman only every two years and the preventive every year. She needs to be clear as to what her benefits are and if she exceeded the benefits then she owes for one out of pocket.
