Bill for Physical Therapy

As I am understanding, the primary care provider is not to bill for physical therapy code unless he has someone in his office that does the physical therapy i.e. physical therapist. This is supposedly not in his "scope of practice".

as I believe and agreed with encomma-watson, a pcp cannot bill for physical therapy. yes if a physical therapist works in the office and performs the PT but a pcp cannot bill for it. We refer patients to outpatient PT quite often.
