I am getting conflicting answers from different billers on this one and I am needing some help! If a patient comes in early in pregnancy for a pregnancy confirmation visit (consult, lab draw, sono if possible). If it is a viable pregnancy can this be billed as a problem visit outside of the global, or is this considered the initial visit of her prenatal care? Does there need to be a history of miscarriage for this to qualify as a separate visit?
