We are FQHC and can only bill a handful of qualifying codes. We have a provider that does wound care with debridement which is a procedure. Medicare will not pay for this. On the first visit she is doing an evaluation of the wound but also doing the wound care on the same visit. We are being asked if we can bill the E&M and Procedure together. Everything I learned during my CPC course tells me no. Nothing else is being addressed during the visit and patients are being referred to us we already know they are coming for wound care. Thoughts? TIA
