Can anyone tell me a solid production goal for coding Cardiology Office Encounters. We have done some internal audits for the last couple of months and found where some charges could be upcoded- additional revenue. Now our practice administrator is looking into 1 coder coding and entire day of encounters for a 5 physician & 1NP Cardiology practice. We would only be essentially coding the E/M's because all the labs & procedures are circled on the Encounter form. We currently code the hospital charges before billing but this would be added to that function. We have about 100-150 encounters per day.
