If the pt is seen by the doctor and then the nurse calls them at home (same day) for chemo teaching can i bill a prolong visit or a tele visit???

All time spent on the encounter by a billable provider on the date of the visit may be counted. This does NOT include nurse time. You may bill neither a prolonged visit nor televisit for nurse services.
Similarly, if the nurse provided those services in the office, you could not count the nurse time either.
PS - when you state "nurse", I am assuming LPN or RN and not NP, CNM or CNS. LPN & RN are not billable providers. NP, CNM & CNS are billable providers who have more advanced degrees and are not typically referred to as a "nurse."
