When documenting time for prolonged care codes, is it acceptable to document a start and stop time range? For example, "50 minutes of face-to-face time spent between 9:00am and 10:10am." I can't find anything that says it would not be acceptable. Its non-continuous time, includes the start and stop times, and only counts the total time face-to-face.

Thanks,

As long as start and stop time are easily identifiable, it should be ok. I would recommend stating "I spent...." to make sure that there are no questions about who provided the face-to-face service.
