I work for a therapy/counseling office. I have a few counselors that see clients after normal the visits time is up, but its not a crisis. I wanted to use codes 99354/99355 for the additional time but after looking them up on Codify, they are deleted and I should use 99417. However I have done some research, googling, and saw that for therapy should use code 99354 and i can NOT use 99417 with the normal codes of 90832/90834/90837. Im so confused. Does any BH/mental health/therapy billers have codes they use and get reimbursed with for prolonged office visits?
