Is there a procedure code to use when a physician reviews old records several days after seeing the patient in the office. This is a Medicare patient. I have researched 99358, 99417, and G2212. None of these seem to fit the circumstance and be paid by Medicare. Am I missing something?

Hi there, that isn't an option for office visits.

You may be thinking of the Medicare rule that allows providers to count time before and/or after the date of the encounter in other settings. Details are in the Change Request. See p. 23 for a chart with the different codes and time periods. https://www.cms.gov/files/document/r11842cp.pdf
