Hello All,

Question... When billing a 99223 and 99356, does a modifier 25 need to be added to 99356 or 99223? If I bill a 99223 and 99356 without a modifier, will it be paid or denied?? Please help.

No.. you do not need to append modifier 25 when billing prolonged services. As long as the documentation supports the codes/time billed would not be denied.
