Help please! One of my behavior health providers received a request from a former patient to restart services. Prior services were completed successfully. Patient has been in a terrible accident and will be a medical in-patient for at least 4 weeks and has refused counseling services offered at the facility he is in and is requesting services from my provider. My supervisor is asking how to bill for these services? What place of service code would I use? It's not a facility that we are affiliated with. Would I use POS 21 or 99?
At this point I don't have any information on insurance type or benefits available. Thank you!
