Hello, we perform psych eval visits for pre-surgery clearance for spinal cord stimulators. We currently use 90791 but are wondering if 96156 would be more applicable but we are unsure of what ICD 10 codes are covered. Per CMS, medical article policy, A52434, it has 807 dx codes listed under 'DO NOT support medical necessity' but under ICD 10 that support medical necessity it just says N/A. Does this mean any ICD 10 NOT under the DO NOT support necessity list, is covered? In which would be the pt's medical condition like M96.1, M54.50, etc? Any assistance or advice would be much appreciated.
