We have a Behavioral Health walk in clinic, where the MA rooms the patient and then assigns the therapist. Do you know if you can count the time the MA spent with the patient along with the therapists time? Or is it only face to face with the therapist?

From the American Psychological Association FAQ document when the current psychotherapy codes were implemented:
"Do I consider time spent doing additional work outside of face-to-face time with my patients when deciding which psychotherapy code to use?
No, the time spent arranging for services, providing reports and communicating with other health care professionals is not included in the length of the psychotherapy session."
