90804 and 90805 is counseling and psycotherapy codes. Pts come in for post parteum depression and there is a score check that is done and pt. see us for other tyoes of depressions and the new EMR software company has these psycotherapy codes in the system so now the docs think they should be using them instead of the regular OV codes. I was thinking these are specific to physcologists etc but since the EMR says it they believe that is correct. I am really unsure but would like to know other coders advice.. Thanks
