I have a pulmonary coding emergency. Our tech that runs our pulmonary rehab program is billing the code 93797 for physician monitoring services with out the ecg monitor. We are beginning to received denials as of 7/1/11. They are denying stating we need a cardiac diagnosis. The above mentioned code is a cardiac rehab code. What would be the equivalent pulmonary rehab code for the professional component? The hospital is billing the G0420 code for the technical component.
