A patient comes in for a chemo infusion. During that infusion the patient receives 4 pushes.
Each push is a different chemo drug. They are administered sequentially during the encounter.
Question: Do 3 of the 4 pushes get a modifier 59?

If all the drugs that are being pushed are part of a chemo regimen the pt is being treated with, I would not use the 59 modifier. 96413/for the drug being infused + 96411x4. Best regards -
 
iv push

the IV push would be an add-on code
96375 x each additional sequential push of a new drug
so no modifier is needed
