I have a patient who came in early in the day and had labs drawn for Dr. A and the px's were billed out along w/ the 36415 draw w/ Dr. A being the billing provider. The patient returned later in the day and Dr. B ordered lab tests and the px for the lab test was billed and also another px 36415 under Dr. B as being the billing provider. In researching if we are able to bill for 2 draws in the same day the only information I can find states that you can only bill 1 draw per encounter regardless of the amount of tests done. Would this be interpreted as such that I could bill for the 2 draws based on this scenario? Or is there documentation otherwise that i am unable to find stating that we can only bill for 1 draw per day?
