Wiki Q codes guidelines for flu shot

Hi,

"Q" codes for flu vaccine is it only for straight Medicare or it is for Medicare Managed care alos?

Every year flu season drive me crazy . One brain (me) can not handle alone this season.

I need your input.

Flu vaccine

The company I used to work for was initially billing the Q codes only to Medicare & the Medicare supplement companies. Finally, our business office manager called the major commercial insurance companies and asked if the Q codes would be accepted. Some said the Q codes are accepted.
 
They drive me nuts every year too. We've been billing the Q codes for all Medicare and MC Advantage plans.
 
If you are using the Influenza virus vaccine, quadrivalent, split virus, preservative free, It was my understanding there is not a Q code for these shots?
