I am trying to find out what type of non contrast this code is for - it states "non radioactive" - could this be for CO2. Any information or where I could get more info/specifics on this code would be appreciated.

The code description is 'visualization adjunct', and lists methylene blue and isosulfan blue as examples - these are dyes that are commonly used in sentinel lymph node surgeries to allow the surgeon to trace and identify 'hot' lymph nodes that are suspicious for possible metastatic cancer for excision. I don't believe that CO2 falls into this category, but I guess that would depend on the specific product and how it is being used perhaps.
