HI everyone,

I just got done with the 16 hour AAPC ICD 10 CM Code set training and received a certificate of ICD-10-CM Proficiency. Do I put that I am a ICD-10 Certified coder on my resume or email signature? Or just the fact that I took the courses? Thanks!!

Jenny,

I would say for a 100% definitive answer that you would need to ask the AAPC directly. From previous months ago my understanding from others was that it just meant you were proficient in ICD-10. AAPC certification test doesn't change to I-10 until 1/1/16. AHIMAs certification exams change to I-10 on 10/1/15.
