Wiki question about surgery date - need help

I remember discussing this in class but cant remember, Dr. Performed surgery at 11:50 PM and finished 3:15 AM what date would I use? Im thinking the 11:50 date, please help thank you

Correct. the date patient was prepped for surgery which is the 11:50PM date.
