Why are T codes the first listed code in some instances/scenarios and not in others? This is not my area of specialty :/ I have read the chapter guidelines:) but could not find a specific answer regarding this? Thanks-

Let me see if I can address this in a broad stroke fashion. For the T codes for Drug interactions, the T code is first listed if the drug interaction is poisoning or if it is a toxicity to a non therapeutic substance, the T code is secondary if it is an adverse effect or underdosing. for the others it will depend on the circumstances of the encounter, if it is sequela then the T will be secondary. if you can provide a specific example I could refine my answer
