Good morning. I tried looking through the Resumes listed on the forum to get a feel for how I should list this, but I have recently gotten the CPC-A certification and I am not sure how to list is on my Resume. Should I put it towards the top as to make sure it's easily visible? Should it go at the end of the Resume? I am seeing conflicting information on how to list this. Should I also put a date as to when I got the certification? I've never had a certification before so I am truly lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I think that this is more a matter of preference vs a hard and fast rule. Generally when I review resumes from applicants I see the certification listed as :

Jane Doe, CPC-A (in the name/title line)

Then again under certification I see:
Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice (CPC-A)
American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)

As an interviewer or screener I think both are appropriate and needed. Good luck!

I would include your membership ID # where you list it under certifications. That way, whoever is considering you, can verify your certification on this site.
