Wiki Question on same day surgeries.

I am new to vascular surgery coding... I have been told by 2 different sources on this subject. If a patient has 2 surgeries in the same day, does it go on one claim form or seperate? I was always under the impression, different time of the surgery than seperate claims. That way if modifiers are needed for global then they could be applied to the 2 surgery. Can anyone help me? (I have been gettiing paid when doing it seperate-does it matter) :confused:
