Hi I need to code a skin shave biopsy is the Mon part of the Abdomen or genial anatomy site? Please help. 11305 or 11300.
2) is the Ankle part of the foot or leg to code a shave biopsy. 11300 or 11305. Please help. I would truly appreciate it.

1. The mons pubis is generally considered part of the external genitalia. That being said, if the lesions is higher up towards the abdomen, you could consider an abdomen code as well.

2. The Ankle is considered part of the leg for the AMA as far as CPT coding.
