Limitations for trigger point injections how many can the physician can give for each encounter. Having trouble with UHC and BC CA. Would a modifier be appropriate?
I'm also getting 20551 denials for global period.

For trigger point injections you would only be billing out one code per session. Code 20552 is for 1-2 muscles that are injected. Code 20553 is for "three or more".
 
If you are reporting 20551 on consecutive dates of service do you need a modifier for the 2nd or 3rd days ect.
How many injections will UHC reimburse in a year?
