if a scope makes it to the the 2nd part of duodenum and a non bleeding gstric ulcer w/visible vessel was found in the antrum. it was bout 8mm in dimension. One ligature is successully place . no bleeding during the proc.

is ligature the same as "controll of bleeding.

would i code this 43255. can someone help if possible

Yeah after doing a bit more research I would guess that 43255 would be sufficient. Either is partially correct though.

43255 is to control bleed, any method-but theres no bleeding here

43244 band ligation, varices-no varices here (but there is a vessel and that is what was banded?)
