If your provider during surgery placed a wound vac on the patient can you bill for the wound vac application (97605)?

Medicare will not cover the vac because they consider it as part of the closure. You can try to bill it to commercial insurance carriers but most will consider it part of the surgical closure as well. Check the insurance plan guidelines - most are starting to specifically address this issue.
