I have another question today. This is about assistant Dr's. Procedure performed was an Open cholecystectomy with common bile duct exploration and extraction of common duct stone.

2 surgeons assisted main surgeon at various times:confused: throughout this procedure. Does anyone know were I can read about rules and regulations for this ? Thanks for everyones help.

I was wondering that same thing. Have a doctor that had 2 other doctors assist at different times during surgery. Can we bill for both doctors helping? I almost wonder if we could bill with both modifiers 80, 52 for reduced services being they didn't help the whole time. I was hoping to find the answer on here too.
