Wiki rabies

I have a patient that is getting the rabies vaccine for possible rabies exposure. She was not bitten by an animal just exposed. What diagnosis would anyone reccomend for this? I am an Oncology Coder but the injections are bing given in our out patient infusion center and I have limited information from reffering doctors order.

Use V01.5 Contact with or exposure to communicable diseases - rabies

I would use V04.5 for the vaccine and V01.5 as a secondary code for the exposure.

I always use V04.5 as we give this vaccination alot to our animal control officers
