I am both a CPC and radiation therapist. I have a question regarding radiation oncology weekly management 77427. Our providers insist on "examining" breast patients in the treatment room, with the patients on the treatment table in treatment position. This has been going on since COVID. My manager and I have aggressively pushed back on this, stating HIPAA violations, etc., to no avail. No upper management will help. So now I'm reaching out here. Can they bill 77427 when they are essentially doing a drive by visit? Do they have to have a private, one-on-one visit (without therapists present). Any information would be greatly appreciated! By the way, I have been told (to my face) by the department medical head that their time in more valuable than ours.
