We have some one who is going to lease an office space in our clinic. We have X-ray equipment that belong to our physicians. The leasing physician wants to see the rules that say he can not bill the global radiology service. Can anyone help me?

Also we have another leasing physican who will be using our fluoro machine to perform ESI and he wants to bill global for this. the same question applies. is there something in writing that states that the referring physician can only bill for interpretation or the supervision component in an ESI and that the owner of the equipment can bill the technical componets. I have the RVU statements about the 26 and TC portions but the higher ups want it more specific.

Thanks
Debbie

TC Side of X-ray

Unless the provider that is leasing the space is reimbursing for the equipment, supplies and rad tech, he should only bill the 26 portion for his report.
Hope this helps.
