Hi all,

Is there any online document where there is evidence that we can/cannot consider diagnosis for radiology coding from
Previous encounters (for example x-ray of hand is performed on 10/10/08 – there is no dx to code in the chart 10/10/08). Hence dx can be considered from previous encounters like 10/07/08 dos of MRI or any other procedure of the same patient.)
The dx considered from other than final report(the main transcript) like script

Thanks and regards,
Meera

A radiology report stands alone. As far as I know, you can not take a dx from a previous report relating to a similar visit or a follow up visit.

I would suggest visiting Radiology Journals and Articles or American College of Radiology for further assistance.

Hope that helps;)
