Good morning. I was hoping someone could help me in deciding if these lesions are simple or complex.
Stereotactic radiosurgery to 1. rt cerebellopontine angle dural based tumor (1.4 x 1.5 x 1.7cm) 2. rt presigmoid dural based brain tumor (1.6 x 1.7 x 1.6cm)
These are both meningioma. Per CPT instructions, I don't see complex for size, not located within the brainstem, not a schwannoma...but the surgeon is questioning stating "usually lesions in the cerobellopontine angle are considered similar to vestibular schwannoma because of the complexity of treatment since the cochlea and brainstem are at risk during treatment."
Thank you for any input.
