Hoping I can get some advice here. I was contacted by a colleague who needs some auditing work done for a client. They are asking me for a per claim rate to perform ER audits and Rebuttals/appeals reviews or audits. This is all done after the fact - as they are a compliance company that recoups money where the provider or hospital billed erroneously. It has been well over 10 years since I did consultant work and I just don't know where to begin with my rate. Does anyone have any advice on where to start? Of course, I don't want to aim too high and lose the bid but also don't want to sell myself short.. Any ideas would be extremely appreciated.
