Does anyone know what the proper code would be when the findings from a screening mammogram are "calcifications", 793.81 or 793.89? What is the difference between the two codes and when would you use each code?

You use the V code for screening first listed then the finding. The 793.81 is specific to the calcifications seen on mammogram, the 793.89 is for any other abnormality seen on any type of radiology exam of the breast.
