Can the dr bill an office visit with the code for reading of an ultrasound/mri/ct scan? I believe he can if we put a 26 modifier on the us/mri/ct scan code. Would you be able to code this on a consult?

If your physician is reading, interpreting, and producing a written report for the test, then yes he probably bill for the professional component. To also bill an office visit or consult code, there would have to be additional and separate documentation to support it.
