If a carrier pays the less expensive of two bundled codes , can you resubmit the claim and ask the carrier to pay the more expensive code and take back the payment made on the lesser code?

Good luck with that. This is why it is important to bill the more expensive code first due to cascading reimbursements.

This is why it is important to check your bundling edits before submitting the claim. It can be considered fraud to make it a practice of not checking bundling edits and just billing everything that was done and leaving it up to insurance to figure it out. Not to mention, they will always pay the code that pays the least. So from a financial standpoint - it would behoove you to always check bundling.
