Wiki Record retention in NV for OB/GYN?

Are there any OB/GYN groups in NV experienced in records retention regulations? Nevada law states you must keep patient medical records until the age of 23 or 5 years for an adult. What I'm wondering is if the mother's medical records for a birth counts towards that baby's medical record too, in which case we'd have to retain the mother's record for another 23 years?

Any help is very appreciated!
