Does anyone know if we are required to store the static image of fluoroscopic needle guidance in the patients EMR chart or if the written documentation in the procedure note is sufficient? EMR scanning of these images comes out very dark and not legible so we are keeping the hard copies filed after scanning. Is there a time limit when these images can be purged? Thank you.
