Hello,

Can a Perinatologist refer a patient to a Pediatric Cardiologist within the same practice/tax ID#?
 
Watch out for Stark violations. You can refer the patient to seek another specialist and suggest that one is available within your practice, but it must be left up to the patient to chose the provider. Also if the patient does select the specific provider in your practice, you need to be certain that they are credentialed with that patients payer. Because the patient will auto assume that they are and this is not always the case.
