The CEDC Study Guide has a question that reads "HPI: The patient is a 49-year-old male who presents to the ED requesting a medication refill. Last medication dose three weeks prior to arrival. Current dose Metformin 1,000 mg BID, Glyburide 5 mg BID. Medication reason DM. Prescribing physician unknown and unable to obtain appointment with PCP". The correct answer contains the refill code (E11.9, Z79.84, & Z76.0) but no mention of Underdosing. Anyone know why we would not include it? Thanks!
