Would it be acceptable for the REI physician to keep spotting complicating pregnancy (O26.85) or threatened abortion (O.20.0) dx on the SB even if pt states she is Not spotting/bleeding that particular day? The physician wants to keep it on when a pt previously had that complaint. Since we are an REI office, the physician might order an extra ultrasound before discharging pt to her OBGYN if pt had spotting/bleeding on her past pregnancy visit(s) to the office.
