Does anyone know why the 20552 pays more than the 20553 in BCBS fee schedule?

My office is unsure of why the more extensive code pays less than the 20552 since these can not be billed together. :confused:

You may want to check with provider rep; this might be an error. I just checked our fees for BCBS of LA...our 20553 pays more than 20552. :confused:
