How do you increase speed in HCC coding? Your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
I'm slow, I read everything and review the charts. The one thing I do know is you have to be able to speed read thru the encounter, HPI, problem list, PMHX, etc... You can also try to go from the bottom up, review the assessment and plan and work your way north to capture missing HCC's or identify the more specific dx's that should be used due to the assumed associations.... Everyone has their own unique way of reviewing. Perhaps someone out there has the magic key!

I would also like to find this magic to speed through the charts. I am in my training period and have to do 50 charts with a 95% rate. What is the secret to this?
